At the turn of November and December 2022, an event addressed to the local stakeholders of the project will take place at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Management of the Jagiellonian University. The purpose of this meeting, organized by the HES-GEO team, will be to establish a network of human environmental-systems (HES) research-oriented entities among local and regional stakeholders in the field of nature conservation (national parks), industry, tourism, as well as entrepreneurs and representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) conducting applied research, providing solutions based on knowledge and research data in the field of HES.

Events and meetings will be prepared for different audiences, interested in exploitation of the research results received as a follow-up of HES-GEO project activities. These are:

[1] HES research community, composed of:

[a] scientists of the coordinating and partner institutions,

[b] scientific community in the country of the coordinating institution,

[c] international scientific audience, including scientists from CEE countries,

[d] students interested in HES research – candidates for MSc or Ph.D. programmes.

[2] various stakeholders (governmental and local authorities, industry, private entrepreneurs, NGOs, engaged, for example, in spatial planning and policy, forestry, agriculture, nature conservation, health prevention and mitigation of environmental and anthropogenic hazards).

[3] general public.

The meeting will also be an opportunity to promote and disseminate the results of scientific research on human-environment systems conducted by scientists from the Institute of Geography and Spatial Management of the Jagiellonian University among academic institutions and outside science (e.g. government institutions, industrial partners, entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations).
